Approach
Whether we join a project in early development or at a later stage, we look at the whole structure. We think about tone, balance and chemistry; how actors function next to each other and how a world holds.
For us, casting is an act of building rather than selecting. Our work moves between instinct and strategy, considering not only who feels right creatively, but also what is viable and sustainable within a project’s framework.
About
Sien Josephine Teijssen is a Belgium-based casting director and founder of Sien Josephine Casting. She works across feature films and series, both national and international, with projects spanning Europe and the UK. Alongside the creative side of casting, her work also involves strategic cast attachments, international outreach and talent discovery, working with both established and emerging actors.
In 2025, her work on Julie Keeps Quiet received an Artios Award nomination for Outstanding Achievement in Casting.
Alongside her casting work, Sien is actively involved in the international casting community. As a board member of CSA’s Global Chapter, she has helped build collaborations with international film festivals, film funds and industry initiatives, while contributing to conversations and programmes around casting, talent discovery and international collaboration.
